Apple Incs fall event is scheduled for September 9 at its Cupertino, California headquarters where the company is expected to showcase new iPhones, along with updates to other devices and apps.

This launch is pivotal for Apple as it seeks to counteract a global sales decline, especially in China, and outline its artificial intelligence (AI) strategy.

Known for its cautious approach to AI, Apple is now advancing features to compete with tech giants like Google and Microsoft.

During its June developers conference, Apple revealed several AI advancements under the "Apple Intelligence" initiative, including an upgraded Siri and integration with ChatGPT.

Here is a look at all the features that we are expecting Apple to launch and incoorporate into its products soon.

Enhanced Siri with GPT-4o integration

A significant update is the transformation of Siri into a more conversational assistant. Integrated with OpenAI's GPT-4o model, Siri can now seamlessly connect to ChatGPT for complex queries.

This integration is designed to offer more accurate and contextual responses, with user data protected through Apple’s "Private Cloud Compute" system, which ensures requests are processed on Apple Silicon servers without data storage.

Expanded Siri capabilities

Siri's new functionalities include improved management of actions between apps and automation across platforms. Users can now instruct Siri to perform tasks like playing a podcast received in a message or transferring details between apps. Additionally, Siri's "onscreen awareness" allows it to understand and respond based on the context of the app or content being viewed. Users also have the option to interact with Siri via text commands.

New AI tools:

Genmoji and Image Playground Apple's AI enhancements extend to new tools such as "Genmoji," which lets users create custom emojis generated by AI.

This feature, part of broader improvements to messaging and visual content, allows for personalized emoji creation based on user prompts.

Additionally, Apple is launching "Image Playground," an app that uses AI to generate images from user prompts, with an API available for developers to integrate this functionality into their apps.

Upgraded Photos App

The Photos app is also set to benefit from AI advancements. Users will experience enhanced search capabilities, allowing for more detailed object searches within their photo libraries.
